I hope that this article will help those of you who are new to the guitar. The chances are that you are reading this post because you are a complete beginner and you are looking for the best budget acoustic guitar. I believe this article will give you an answer;-)
If you are entirely new to the guitar and you haven’t got access to anyone with expertise in guitars you might be struggling to find the right instrument for you. Also, because you are a beginner, you don’t know what to expect and what to look for. It feels quite overwhelming! On top of that, because you don’t know yet if the whole guitar thing is for you, you don’t want to go to the store and spend a lot of money on something that you might not enjoy.

EastCoast G1 Acoustic Guitar

From what I understand from the conversations with the staff of GuitarGuitar in Epsom and watching YouTube videos, EastCoast is a joint effort of three big UK stores: GuitarGuitar, PMT Music and Andertons Music.

They want to deliver a good quality affordable instrument for beginners or people on a tight budget without compromising the quality and ruining their reputation as a guitar retailer.

So my understanding is that these three big music stores brought EeastCoast to life by joining their buying power forces, and they ordered a big batch of acoustic guitars from a far east guitar manufacturer who will carefully follow their standards.

As a result of that, the EastCoast guitars are available at an attractive price, and the one I have purchased has cost only £79, which is not a lot for a playable acoustic guitar.

In case you are not aware these days anyone with enough money can form a guitar brand and outsource the production to the far eastern factory. All you need to do is to specify things you want and the budget you are willing to invest in each model that they are going to produce.

My final impressions about EastCoast acoustic guitars:

In case you didn’t get the chance to watch the whole demo of EastCoast G1 I have recorded at GuitarGuitar Epsom and my home studio, I feel that these are great instruments for the price you are paying. They are comfortable and playable and sound good, considering the low cost. They sound better than they should for that money. I have based my judgement on two instruments mine G1 and a D1 Dreadnought version of Eastcoast of my student Julia. Both guitars sound and feel pretty epic to me!
